Buyout/Growth Capital
Represented BGH Capital in relation to the formation of its first private equity fund, focused on investment mainly in Australasia, with commitments in excess of $A2.3 billion.
A consortium comprising Hillhouse Capital Management, HOPU Investment Management, Global Logistic Properties Limited (GLP) founder Ming Mei’s SMG, Bank of China Group Investment and China Vanke Co. or their affiliated entities in its US$11.6 billion acquisition of GLP (SGX: MC0). GLP is Asia’s leading warehouse operator with a multibillion-dollar portfolio of assets spread across China, Japan, Brazil and the United States. The transaction is the largest private equity-backed takeover in Asia (ex-Japan) to date. This transaction was named “Deal of the Year” and “Best Leveraged Finance Deal” by FinanceAsia Achievement Awards 2017, “Best Cross-border M&A Deal” by FinanceAsia China Awards 2018 and M&A Deal of the Year: Southeast Asia by The Asia Legal Awards 2018.
Represented Ascendent Capital Partners in relation to the formation of Ascendent Capital Partners II, a US$600 million China focused fund.
Represented TDR Capital in relation to the establishment and closing of TDR Capital III, a European mid-market buyout fund with commitments of €2 billion.
Represented CapVest Partners in relation to the establishment of CapVest Equity Partners III, a €440 million European buyout fund.
Represented Mid Europa in relation to the internal structuring and formation of Mid Europa Fund IV, a €800 million fund targeting investments in Eastern Europe.
Turnaround
Represented Rutland Partners in relation to the formation of Rutland Fund III, a £263 million turnaround fund.
Credit
Represented MezzVest in relation to the establishment and closing of their latest European mezzanine fund, MezzVest III, which reached €585 million in commitments.
Secondaries
Represented Vision Capital on the structuring, establishment and negotiation of numerous co-investment platforms.
Represented Vision Capital in relation to its innovative GP led restructuring of Willis Stein & Partners III, L.P.
GP Secondaries
Represented Greenpark Capital in relation to the negotiation and sale of their private equity secondary funds business to StepStone, a global private equity firm.
Venture
Represented Balderton Capital on the establishment and closing of Balderton Capital V, a European venture capital fund with commitments of $305 million.

Acting for a variety of managers and institutional investors in relation to secondary transactions, restructurings and spin-outs.
