James Whybrow is a corporate associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. James has experience in numerous areas of corporate law, including the structuring of private equity deals, leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions and strategic corporate advisory matters. Before joining Kirkland, James spent time on secondment at Bain Capital Private Equity.

Advent International on its acquisition of a majority stake in Reckitt’s Essential Home Portfolio
Clayton, Dubilier & Rice on its acquisition of a 50% controlling stake in Opella from Sanofi, for an enterprise value of €16 billion
Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and Morrisons on the sale of 337 Morrisons petrol forecourts (including fuel, convenience retail kiosk and ancillary services) and more than 400 sites for electric vehicle charging development to Motor Fuel Group
Bain Capital Tech Opportunities on its majority investment in finova and its simultaneous acquisition of MSO
Prior to joining Kirkland, James worked on the following matters, advising:
