Nathan Williams is a litigation associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He represents companies, organizations and senior executives in high-stakes government and congressional investigations, regulatory inquiries and civil litigation. He previously served as Chief Counsel to U.S. Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, where he advised on policy issues impacting constitutional, criminal and civil law. In the Senate, he spearheaded the nominations of multiple federal judges in Louisiana and worked on the confirmation of more than 120 federal judges nationwide. He also served as Chief Counsel on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Federal Courts, Oversight, Agency Action and Federal Rights.
Before joining Kirkland, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Danny C. Reeves of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the Honorable Edith Brown Clement on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
