GCR 100

In the 2006 edition of GCR 100: The World's Leading Competition Law Practices, Kirkland & Ellis ranked fifth on the list of the 10 largest practices by number of competition lawyers. Kirkland also tied for first in number of promotions to partner in 2006.

Mark Kovner is quoted regarding the Firm's growth in 2006: "The relatively large number of new partners focusing on antitrust reflects, first, the overall continued strong growth of the firm - we're more than 10 percent larger in 2006 than 2005; second, the size of the firm - we are now approaching 1,200 lawyers worldwide; and, third, the continued strong growth of the antitrust practice within the firm."

The GCR 100 is an independent survey of the world's leading competition law practices. The survey takes into account the total size of the firm and the number of competition lawyers, the percentage of the firm that specializes in competition, and the number of partner hires, departures and promotions.
