Chambers' comments:
Debt & Equity
Nationwide Ranking: Tier 4
The Firm: The firm's strength in capital markets is built on its prowess in private equity and restructuring, although it also attracts a significant volume of work solely on the basis of its capital markets expertise. The firm undertakes some underwriter representation, but is more heavily focused on advising issuers on high-yield offerings, IPOs and convertible deals.
Key Individuals: Joshua Korff of the New York office is a standout performer, focused on private equity, leveraged acquisitions and public and private securities offerings. Work highlights include advising Clearwire on the offering of over $2 billion of high-yield notes and Avis Budget Group on a $300 million convertible notes offering.
REITs
Nationwide: Other Practitioners
Bruce Gelman of Kirkland & Ellis LLP concentrates on tax planning, representing investors and sponsors in the USA and offshore on public and private REIT matters, as well as advising on the tax aspects of other investment funds.
