M&A Advisor Awards
On December 13, 2011, Kirkland was distinguished in five categories at the 10th Annual M&A Advisor Awards. Kirkland won the Middle-Market Deal of the Year ($100 million to under $250 million) for its work in the merger of hybris AG and iCongo Inc. in a buyout sponsored by Huntsman Gay Global Capital; the Magnus Cross-border Deal of the Year (over $1 billion) for its work in the sale of Burger King Holdings, Inc. to 3G Capital; the Information Technology Deal of the Year ($100 million and over) for its work in the acquisition of SRA International, Inc. by Providence Equity; and a Sector Transaction of the Year award in Consumer and Retail Products ($50 million to under $250 million) for its work in the recapitalization of Merrick Pet Care by Swander Pace Capital. An independent body of expert judges that span the M&A industry determined the winners.
