Award Howard Brown Health Center

Friend for Life Award

Howard Brown Health Center (HBHC) awarded Kirkland its Friend for Life award at its annual Garden of Eve fundraiser in Chicago for women's services. The award honors individuals and organizations that have demonstrated a tireless commitment of time and resources to promote the health and wellness of the LGBT community in Chicago and beyond. The Firm, along with the Kirkland & Ellis Foundation and individual attorneys, have financially supported HBHC for many years. In addition, since 2007, more than 100 Kirkland attorneys and other legal staff in the Firm's Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., offices have provided almost 9,000 hours of pro bono legal service on a variety of matters. Founded in 1974, Howard Brown Health Center is one of the nation's largest health care and research organizations, primarily serving the LGBT community and its allies.
