Pillars of Justice Award

Appleseed and the Chicago Appleseed Fund for Justice honored Kirkland litigation partner Richard Godfrey with a Pillars of Justice Award for his contributions to pro bono work. A nonprofit network of 17 public interest justice centers in the United States and Mexico, Appleseed is dedicated to building a society in which opportunities are genuine, access to the law is universal and equal, and government advances the public interest. Chicago Appleseed Fund for Justice is an impact research, education and advocacy organization that works to achieve fundamental, systemic reform by addressing policies and practices that relate to social justice and government effectiveness issues. Richard is a member of Appleseed's national board of directors, and Kirkland sponsored this awards reception in Chicago.
