Award D.C. Circuit Judicial Conference Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services

40 at 50 Judicial Pro Bono Recognition Breakfast

For the second year in a row, Kirkland was honored at the 11th annual “40 at 50” Judicial Pro Bono Recognition breakfast in Washington, D.C., on April 23, 2014. The Firm was one of 30 local law firms where at least 40 percent of its lawyers performed a minimum of 50 hours of pro bono service in 2013. Kirkland was one of two firms with 60 percent or more of all lawyers completing 50 hours, and one of seven firms who had partners meet the “40 at 50” goal.

The event was organized by the D.C. Circuit Judicial Conference Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services. The Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services reviews and reports to the Judicial Conference of the District of Columbia Circuit on issues facing pro se litigants in the federal courts and the pro bono resources available to them.
