NYCLJ Access to Justice Award and Associate of the Year Award

The New York Center for Law and Justice (NYCLJ) presented Kirkland with its 2016 Access to Justice Award for the Firm’s continued pro bono work on asylum cases. IP litigation partner Joseph Loy accepted the award on behalf of the Firm. During the awards ceremony, NYCLJ also recognized his individual involvement in more than 40 asylum applications. The NYCLJ also presented technology & IP transactions associate Daisy Darvall with its Associate of the Year Award for her work on an asylum application concerning a deaf Jamaican who fears persecution based on sexual orientation. The awards were presented during the NYCLJ’s Annual Justice Awards Reception on December 5, 2016, in New York.
