ABA Pro Bono Publico Award

Kirkland is one of five law firm recipients of the American Bar Association’s 2017 Pro Bono Publico Award for its work with the National Center for Access to Justice. The award honors lawyers, law firms and other institutions in the legal profession that have enhanced the human dignity of others by improving or delivering volunteer legal services to poor and disadvantaged individuals in the United States. Kirkland was recognized for its work as a member of the Justice Index Team, a group dedicated to bringing visibility to access to justice challenges. The Justice Index is an interactive website that uses data, findings, indicators and indexing to rank the 50 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., on their adoption of selected best policies for assuring access to justice. The Firm will be recognized at an awards event in August 2017.
