Rankings are based on announced transactions (including lapsed and withdrawn deals) from January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018. Deals are included when the transaction value is greater than $5 million. Deals with undisclosed deal values are included where the target's turnover exceeds $10 million.

In Thomson Reuters' Mergers & Acquisitions Review: Legal Advisors 2018, Kirkland was ranked:
