Law Firm Pro Bono Award 2022

Kirkland & Ellis was honored with the “Law Firm Pro Bono Award” from Public Counsel at the 2022 William O. Douglas Award Dinner. The Firm received the award for our commitment to equal access to justice, including our extensive work fighting to return a beachfront resort property in Manhattan Beach, California, to the closest living legal heirs of a Black couple who had the property taken from them on a racially motivated basis in the early 1900s.
