D CEO M&A Awards 2023

D CEO honored Kirkland & Ellis with three awards as part of its 2023 “Mergers & Acquisitions Awards.” Kirkland partner Melissa Kalka was recognized as “Attorney of the Year,” and the Firm was recognized for its involvement in two “Deal of the Year” award winners:

• $1 Billion-Plus Deal of the Year: Celanese Corp.’s acquisition of DuPont Mobility & Materials (Kirkland advised Celanese)
• $250-$999 Million Deal of the Year: Dave & Buster’s Entertainment’s acquisition of Main Event (Kirkland advised Dave & Buster’s)

The annual D CEO awards program honors individual achievements and notable M&A deals that closed last year.
