American Lawyer Lifetime Achievement Award 2023
The American Lawyer named Kirkland & Ellis partner Neil Eggleston among its 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award honorees. Neil will be presented his award as part of the American Lawyer Industry Awards on November 15 in New York City.
During Neil’s esteemed career, he has held top roles in government, private practice and academia, and served as counsel to two United States presidents. Neil has represented senior officials and high-profile executives and corporations on significant investigations and ethics matters, shepherded the process for a U.S. Supreme Court nominee, and served as a leader on justice reform efforts and impactful pro bono matters. At Kirkland, Neil’s practice focuses on enforcement defense, including at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), U.S. Attorney’s Offices, and other enforcement agencies. He regularly advises corporations and corporate boards on a wide range of legal issues, including corporate governance, civil litigation, internal investigations, and allegations of fraud. He has experience representing corporate audit committees in SEC and audit-related issues. He also has broad experience advising individuals and companies facing Congressional and regulatory investigations.
The Lifetime Achievement Award honors those with distinguished careers at some of the country's most prominent law firms, organizations and companies, and those who have also made their mark through pro bono, government or civic work.
