Partners Dale Cendali and Joshua Simmons Named “New York Power Lawyers” by The Hollywood Reporter

The Hollywood Reporter selected Kirkland partners Dale Cendali and Joshua Simmons for its “New York Power Lawyers” list, which recognizes entertainment attorneys in New York “helping define what is next not only onscreen and onstage, but also on the AI frontier.”

Dale and Josh were profiled for their precedent-setting jury trial win for Take-Two concerning whether realistic depictions of tattoos in video games can be considered copyright infringement. The pair was also selected for their recent win for Thomson Reuters, the first legal decision to address whether training AI with copyrighted content is a fair use.
