Associate Ross Greenspan Named 2025 Volunteer of the Year by Legal Aid Chicago

Legal Aid Chicago (LAC) selected Kirkland associate Ross Greenspan as its 2025 “Volunteer of the Year” for his pro bono work on ADAPT, a project helping clients prepare important legal documents that ease the burden of end-of-life decisions for them and their families.

Each year, LAC honors an outstanding volunteer who devotes significant time to its pro bono programs, furthering its mission of equal justice for all. Ross was recognized by LAC for going “above and beyond” to ensure his clients are comfortable, using his fluency in Spanish to connect with and advocate for a broader range of individuals.

"I was drawn to the ADAPT project because of my interest in assisting people of limited means. Many clients have told me they reached out about ADAPT because they had a friend or family member that struggled without these documents in place,” Ross said. “If not for this program, many of our clients would be similarly unprepared to make these end-of-life preparations for themselves and their family members.”
