Associate Miguel Suarez Medina Honored With NIJC’s Rising Stars Award

The National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) recognized Kirkland associate Miguel Suarez Medina with the Rising Stars Award at its 2025 Human Rights Awards, which celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to promoting, protecting and advancing human rights worldwide.

Miguel was commended for his commitment to advancing access to justice and providing high-quality pro bono services to NIJC clients. He regularly represents clients in asylum and immigration proceedings and during the naturalization process.

“My clients’ resilience drives me,” Miguel said. “As an immigrant myself, it’s an honor and a privilege to stand beside them as they navigate a complicated system.”
