Four Partners Named “Power Music Lawyers” by The Hollywood Reporter

The Hollywood Reporter recognized Kirkland partners Shellie Freedman, Kelly Mellecker, Keri Schick Norton and Seth Traxler on its 2026 list of “Power Music Lawyers,” which honors the leading attorneys behind the year’s most significant moves in the music industry.

The team was recognized for leading UMG-backed Virgin Music Group’s acquisition of Downtown Music Holdings, as well as Recognition Music Group’s sale of its music catalog, comprising more than 45,000 hit songs, to Sony Music Publishing.
