Getting Slammed: The 20 Largest Verdicts to Hit Corporations During the First Half of 2001
In the August 2001 issue of Corporate Counsel, the magazine ranked "The 20 Largest Verdicts to Hit Corporations During the First Half of 2001." Kirkland was the only firm to hold two spots on this list for cases we tried this year.
Our representation of Cable & Computer Technology, Inc. took the twelfth spot with a $64.5 million verdict awarded on March 28. Jeffrey Davidson, Eric Liebeler and Lee Heard obtained this verdict for CCT in Federal court in California in a patent infringement trial against Lockheed Sanders.
The $46.6 million verdict handed on February 16 to K&E client, Honeywell International Inc., ranked nineteenth on the list. Robert Krupka and Jonathan Putnam were responsible for the representation of Honeywell in their patent infringement trial against Hamilton Sundstrand Corp. in Federal court in Delaware.
