Skadden, Kirkland & Ellis Counsel Sears' Purchase of Land's End

In a cash deal valued at about $1.9 billion, Hoffman Estates, Ill.-based retail giant Sears, Roebuck and Company announced on Monday that it had agreed to acquire upscale catalog and Internet retailer Lands' End Inc. Lands' End will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Sears and will continue to be headquartered in Dodgeville, Wis. 

Kirkland & Ellis partners Robert S. Osborne, Donald E. Batterson, R. Scott FalkJeffrey S. O'Connor, and associates Constantine Koutsouvas and Karen Gerbosi Sodke, of the Chicago office served as outside counsel to Lands' End.
