Kirkland & Ellis Hires Jakovic, Antitrust Lawyer

"Kirkland & Ellis, the Chicago-based law firm with 1,400 attorneys, hired partner Ellen Jakovic from New York's White & Case to work in its Washington office and expand its antitrust group.

Jakovic will focus on notifications made to the U.S. government to get antitrust clearance before a merger or acquisition can be completed, a 'rapidly growing practice area for Kirkland,' the firm said today in a statement.

'She has a top-notch reputation for HSR and transaction clearance work,' Mark Kovner, a senior partner in Kirkland's antitrust and competition group, said in the statement."
