THR’s Power Lawyers: New York

Kirkland partner Joshua Simmons was named one of New York’s "Power Lawyers" by The Hollywood Reporter. THR selected 20 attorneys who focus on entertainment law and are “at the forefront of deals and disputes.” Josh was recognized for his “sweet spot” at “the intersection of entertainment and tech.” In particular, THR noted his work for “video game giants” Take-Two and Epic Games, for whom Josh “has litigated 11 cases involving whether dance steps are intellectual property” and is heading to trial “in a case involving tattoos in WWE 2K.”  When asked what his key to work-life balance was, Josh responded “Loving my job and having a really supportive family.”
