Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout-Outs

Jeremy Fielding, Aaron Marks, Mike Sciaccotta and Gavin Schryver received a shout-out for The American Lawyer Litigation Daily's "Litigator of the Week" for their work for Valara Holdings.

"... Shout-out to litigators at Kirkland & Ellis, who notched their second win in recent weeks batting back challenges to Valara Holdings’ planned data center in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. After previously persuading the state Public Service Commission that it lacked jurisdiction over a challenge to the project, last week Kirkland litigators secured dismissal of a separate lawsuit targeting the way Spartanburg County has permitted the development. Judge J. Derham Cole Jr. found that Concerned Citizens of Spartanburg County had failed to exhaust its administrative remedies before challenging the permits in court and lacked standing to pursue certain claims for injunctive relief. The Kirkland team included Jeremy Fielding, Aaron Marks, Mike Sciaccotta and Gavin Schryver."
