Kirkland & Ellis LLP Gains Experienced Trusts & Estates Lawyer

Kirkland & Ellis LLP is pleased to announce that Angelo F. Tiesi has joined the firm as partner in the Chicago office.  He will focus his practice on estate planning.

Tiesi brings extensive experience in estate planning to the firm's Trusts & Estates practice group. Before joining Kirkland, he held positions as partner and chair of the Chicago estate planning group at Michael, Best & Friedrich LLP, and partner in the estate planning group of Altheimer & Gray.  He counsels individuals, families and family-owned businesses in all aspects of estate planning, including wealth transfer and preservation, charitable giving, and business succession planning.

"Angelo has proven skill in complicated estate planning matters and will bring a new level of experience to our Trusts & Estates group," said David Handler, a partner in Kirkland's Trusts & Estates group. "We believe he will be a great asset to the team."

The 42-year-old Tiesi holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Illinois and a law degree from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.  He is also a CFPc.
