Citadel Dials in Kirkland for $2.7 Billion Deal for ABC Radio Assets

Kirkland & Ellis LLP is advising Citadel Broadcasting Co. (NYSE: CDL) in its $2.7 billion acquisition of most of the assets of ABC Radio. The Kirkland deal team includes the following attorneys from the Corporate Practice: partners Stephen Fraidin, Andrew E. Nagel and Christopher
Neumann along with associates Laura B. Mutterperl, Mary Warner and Jared E. Hansen.

Working on the complex tax aspects of the transaction from Kirkland’s Tax Practice were partners Greer L. Phillips and Steven E. Clemens along with associates Sara Zablotney and Kate Dubin.

Kirkland client Forstmann Little & Co. currently owns a Citadel stake of more than 60 percent.
