Kirkland & Ellis International LLP Closes Pacific Resources Fund
Kirkland & Ellis International LLP announced today that private equity client Pacific Road Capital Management has held its final closing of Pacific Road Resources Fund, the Australia-based firm's first private equity fund. This global mining exploration fund, which closed with commitments of $320 million, will focus on mining projects, related infrastructure and services companies across a range of commodities.
This marks another successful closing for the private funds team who joined Kirkland in 2007 from SJ Berwin. The Kirkland team was led by partner Justin Dolling and senior associate Jenny Kapusniak.
Justin commented "We are delighted to have helped Pacific Road Capital Management form this pioneering fund. There is a lot of interest in this sector and we are already seeing other sponsors exploring the opportunities that exist."
