Kirkland & Ellis LLP advised the Special Committee of Spectrum Brands Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: SPB), a global consumer products company, on its agreement to combine Spectrum Brands with HRG Group, Inc. (NYSE: HRG), a holding company with shares of Spectrum Brands as its principal holding, in a transaction valued at $10 billion. The combined company will be named Spectrum Brands Holdings, Inc. and will trade under the ticker "SPB."
