Kirkland Represents Bain Capital Private Equity in Acquisition of Varsity Brands

Kirkland & Ellis LLP represents Bain Capital Private Equity, which today announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Varsity Brands, a market leader in team sports, school spirit and achievement recognition. Financial terms of the private transaction were not disclosed. More information about the deal is available in the Varsity Brands press release.
 
The Kirkland team was led by Chicago corporate partners Jeff Richards and Matthew O’Brien, and Boston partner Ian Bushner and associates Samuel Jones and Matthew Fisher, as well as Chicago debt finance partners Linda Myers, Maureen Dixon and Katie Bolanowski.
