Dennis Williams Joins Kirkland in New York

Kirkland & Ellis LLP is pleased to announce that Dennis Williams has joined the Firm’s New York office as a partner in the Corporate Practice Group, focusing on healthcare regulatory, compliance and transactional matters. Mr. Williams represents public and private healthcare companies on a national basis, including private equity clients and their portfolio companies, in the context of mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other transactions.

Mr. Williams has significant experience advising private equity clients and their portfolio companies on structural, transactional, regulatory and enforcement matters. He advises clients on a range of healthcare related issues including corporate structuring, federal and multi-state regulatory matters, state anti-referral laws, Stark, Anti-Kickback Statutes, False Claims Act, fraud and related regulatory issues. Mr. Williams is experienced in federal and state healthcare regulatory and licensure, enrollment and reimbursement matters.

Mr. Williams holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Georgetown University and began his professional career in healthcare as a registered critical care nurse at New York Presbyterian, Weill Cornell Medical Center in the Burn Intensive Care Unit. He continued to work at a hospital as he went on to attend the Seton Hall University School of Law, where he earned a J.D. with a concentration in health law.
