Press Release

Kirkland & Ellis Moves to New Offices in Los Angeles

Kirkland & Ellis LLP is pleased to announce that its Los Angeles offices will move to two new locations this month. The Downtown office will relocate to 555 South Flower Street, Suite 3700, beginning Jan. 21, 2020; and the Century City office will occupy 2049 Century Park East, Suite 3700, beginning Jan. 27, 2020.

The two offices have approximately 155,000 square feet combined – an increase of 55,000 square feet compared to Kirkland’s current Downtown Los Angeles office.

Kirkland Los Angeles now has more than 175 lawyers, approximately double the number of lawyers from five years ago. During the most recent twelve months, Kirkland welcomed prominent intellectual property lawyer Ellisen Turner, real estate partners Robert Keane and Al Stemp, and a transactional team led by partners Michael Woronoff, Monica Shilling, Philippa Bond, Jonathan Benloulou, Anne Kim and Chris Wu.

“Kirkland has grown in Los Angeles to meet the needs of our clients across areas as varied as M&A, private equity, debt finance, capital markets, tax, real estate, litigation and intellectual property litigation, and now we’ll have the space needed for our team,” said Damon Fisher, a Los Angeles-based Kirkland partner. “We are excited about the new talent that has joined, and the convenience and comfort that our new office spaces located in two important LA business centers, will offer for our clients, partners and employees.”

Kirkland occupied its former Downtown LA office at 333 South Hope Street since 2009. The Firm first opened in Los Angeles in 1989.
