Kirkland Represents GlobalLogic in $9.5B sale to Hitachi

Kirkland & Ellis advised GlobalLogic Inc., a leading digital engineering services company, and a portfolio company of Canada Pension Plan and Partners Group, on its sale to Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501) for an enterprise value of $9.5 billion. Hitachi, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, is focused on its Social Innovation Business that combines information technology, operational technology and products. Through the acquisition, the addition of GlobalLogic's advanced digital engineering capabilities, and its solid client base including major technology companies, will strengthen the digital capabilities of Hitachi’s "Lumada" portfolio. The transaction is subject to customary conditions and is expected to be completed by the end of July 2021.
