Kirkland Welcomes Corporate Partner Brittany Sakowitz
Kirkland & Ellis LLP is pleased to announce that Brittany Sakowitz has joined the Firm as a partner in the Corporate Practice Group in Houston.
“Brittany is one of the leading young M&A partners in Texas with impressive experience leading large, high-profile transactions,” said Jon A. Ballis, Chairman of Kirkland’s Executive Committee. “She will bolster our Texas offices and help us further meet our clients’ needs in the energy and infrastructure space.”
Ms. Sakowitz advises private equity and venture capital investors, their portfolio companies, and other public and private companies across a broad range of industries, including infrastructure, energy and energy-related services, renewables, technology and digital infrastructure. She primarily counsels clients on public and private M&A transactions, growth equity, private financing transactions and other corporate matters.

Ms. Sakowitz is recognized in Chambers USA and Legal 500 US, and has been named a Texas Super Lawyers - Rising Star from 2014-2021. She holds a law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, an MBA from the University of Houston Bauer College of Business, and a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University. She joins Kirkland from the Houston office of Vinson & Elkins LLP, where she was a partner.
