Kirkland & Ellis Adds Tax Partner Alexander Cox in London

Kirkland & Ellis is pleased to announce that Alexander Cox will join the Firm as a partner in the Tax Practice Group in the London office. 

“Alexander is a leading tax partner in the European private equity market who regularly advises financial sponsors on the structuring of their investment funds,” said Jon A. Ballis, Chairman of Kirkland’s Executive Committee. “We are delighted that Alexander is joining us and this will further strengthen our global tax team.”

Mr. Cox’s practice focuses on the structuring of investment funds, including advising in relation to management company tax issues and carried interest. In addition, he also has significant experience advising on real estate tax matters covering both the establishment of real estate funds and the M&A transactions they undertake. 

A member of the British Venture Capital Association tax committee, Mr. Cox is recognised in Chambers UK 2021 and as a leading individual in Legal 500 UK 2022. He joins Kirkland from the London office of Ashurst LLP, where he was a partner.
