Kirkland Advises Brazos Midstream on Significant Acquisitions in Delaware Basin and in Northern Midland Basin
Kirkland & Ellis counseled Brazos Midstream on two significant acquisitions, the first from Rattler Midstream in the Delaware Basin and the second from Diamondback Energy in the Northern Midland Basin.
Brazos Delaware, LLC, one of the largest privately-held gathering and processing companies in the Permian Basin, acquired the Pecos Gas Gathering System from Rattler Midstream. The system includes 140 miles of natural gas gathering pipeline and four associated compressor stations, complementing Brazos’ existing high pressure natural gas gathering system and cryogenic processing complex located in Reeves County, Texas.
Additionally, newly-formed Brazos Midland, LLC acquired Diamondback Energy’s Mustang Springs Gas Gathering System, which is located in the Northern Midland Basin and currently serves Diamondback in central Martin County, Texas.
