Kirkland Represents NAVER Corporation and LINE Digital Frontier Corporation on Acquisition of eBOOK Initiative Japan Co., Ltd.
Kirkland & Ellis advised NAVER Corporation (KRX), Korea’s largest information technology company, and its subsidiaries, LINE Digital Frontier Corporation (“LDF”) and WEBTOON Entertainment, on the acquisition of eBOOK Initiative Japan Co., Ltd. (TYO), a publicly traded subsidiary of Z Holdings Corporation (TYO). LDF will implement a tender offer for all of the common shares and stock acquisition rights of eBOOK. NAVER expects to invest up to approximately US$144.5 million in connection with the transaction.
