Kirkland Advises Montage on Sale of Ubiquity and $400 Million Sustainable Infrastructure JV

Kirkland & Ellis counseled Ubiquity’s controlling shareholder, Montage, on (i) its sale of Ubiquity, which includes Ubiquity’s existing fiber networks in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin and San Diego metro areas serving over 8,400 customers, and (ii) the formation of a new JV with Montage, Generate Capital and others to operate and expand the Ubiquity business.  The JV plans to deploy more than $400 million in capital to fund the completion of contiguous fiber-to-the-premises networks and expansion of broadband solutions to additional cities.
