Kirkland Advises Providence Equity Partners on Strategic Investment in GCL

Kirkland & Ellis advised private equity firm Providence Equity Partners, L.L.C. on a strategic investment in GCL, a global leader in live events and luxury goods specialty logistics. Through the investment, Providence will become the majority shareholder of GCL, while current majority owner ATL Partners will retain a minority equity stake in the company. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, and the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions. The transaction was announced May 21, 2025.
