Kirkland Welcomes Debt Finance Partner Adam Griffin

Kirkland & Ellis announced today that debt finance attorney Adam Griffin has joined the Firm as a partner.

“Adam is a leading debt finance lawyer with extensive experience in energy and infrastructure matters,” said Jon A. Ballis, Chairman of Kirkland’s Executive Committee. “He will add additional depth to our strong infrastructure finance team, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to Kirkland.”

Mr. Griffin’s practice focuses on complex U.S. domestic and international financing transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He has extensive experience advising on renewable and conventional energy project financings, structured equity and tax equity investments, and innovative commodities transactions. He regularly represents sponsors, lenders, financial institutions and private equity investors in debt and equity financings, workouts and restructurings across the energy and infrastructure landscape.

Mr. Griffin is ranked by Chambers USA and Chambers Global for Nationwide Projects: Renewables & Alternative Energy (2025) and recognized by The Legal 500 U.S. for Project Finance: Energy and Power and multiple energy transactions categories. Mr. Griffin joins from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where he was a partner.
