Kirkland Advises Arctos on Minority Stake Acquisition in Atlanta Falcons Organization Ownership Group

Kirkland & Ellis advised Arctos, a business of KKR, on a minority stake acquisition in the Atlanta Falcons organization ownership group following approval from the NFL's full ownership at league meetings on October 20, 2026. The transaction was for a 7.5% stake in the team, with Arctos also committing to purchasing an additional 2.5% stake at a later date, subject to a separate vote of NFL ownership at the time. With this transaction, Kirkland has advised on six of the seven private equity investments in NFL franchises.
