Overview

Damian’s practice focuses on GP and LP-led secondaries and liquidity solutions transactions including LP portfolio sales, stapled secondary offerings, strip sales, fund recapitalizations and restructurings, captive team spin-outs and synthetic secondaries. Damian was recognized by Private Equity International in their list of “Young Guns of Secondaries: Class of 2016”.

Damian also advises sponsors in connection with forming and structuring private investment funds and their management companies across asset classes including private equity, private debt and private real estate. He has represented international, regional and local fund sponsors, including newly-formed sponsors, in connection with platform formations, joint ventures, club structures and other significant transactions.

Chambers Global and Chambers Greater China noted Damian, who “has garnered a reputation in the closed-end funds space” and is "easy to deal with both on your and the other side," for his “extensive experience in secondary fund formations, as well as establishing primary funds in the closed-end space, acting for managers pursuing a wide range of strategies and sectors.” Additionally, he is recognized by IFLR1000 as “Highly Regarded” in 2023 and a “Notable Practitioner” in 2019, 2021 and 2022.
