Kirkland Represents Altas Partners on Acquisition of University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences from Laureate Education for $400 Million

Kirkland & Ellis LLP advised Altas Partners, a long-term oriented investment firm, on its acquisition of the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) from Laureate Education, Inc. (NASDAQ: LAUR), the world’s largest global network of higher education institutions, for $400 million. USAHS is one of the nation’s leading universities offering graduate health sciences degrees, primarily in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and nursing, as well as continuing education programs.
