Partner Tax

Overview

Mark Dundon is a tax partner in Kirkland’s Houston office and is widely regarded as one of the nation’s go-to tax advisers on complex energy and infrastructure transactions. He structures the tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, restructurings and financings for leading private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as well as Fortune 500 and mid-cap public corporations in the power, renewables, midstream and upstream sectors.

Chambers USA has recognized Mark in its Texas Tax rankings every year since 2021. In the 2024 edition, a client noted “he communicates very well — I have a lot of confidence when he’s on the team.” He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences including those sponsored by the Tax Executives Institute and the ABA Tax Section.
