Advice From the Experts: Successful Partnering Between Inside and Outside Counsel presented by CBA

The Chicago Bar Association will present a special Continued Learning Education program on Thursday, March 6, 2003, entitled "Advice From the Experts: Successful Partnering Between Inside and Outside Counsel." This program is designed for any firm attorney who works with in-house corporate counsel and for all those who serve as corporate counsel, this seminar will focus on multiple aspects of the relationships between inside and outside counsel. A panel of 13 General Counsel of major corporations and 18 leaders of major law firms, including Kirkland's own Steven J. Harper, will provide practical advice and strategies. The program will focus on ways in which inside and outside counsel can work together more effectively in connection with: (1) selection of outside counsel, (2) fee arrangements and billing procedures, (3) marketing to potential corporate clients, (4) planning and budgeting, (5) litigation, (6) transactions, (7) compliance, and (8) diversity. The seminar will take place from 2:00-6:15 p.m. at The Chicago Bar Association, 321 South Plymouth Court, in Chicago. Following the seminar, the CBA will host a wine and cheese reception for speakers and registrants. All registrants will receive the critically acclaimed four volume set of books "Successful Partnering Between Inside and Outside Counsel," published by West and the American Corporate Counsel Association.
