2011 Licensing Law Seminar - San Francisco, CA

Kirkland & Ellis presents the 2011 Licensing Law Seminar, hosted by partners Stephen Johnson, Pierre-André Dubois, David MacDonald, John Lynn, Rita Berardino and Edward Sadtler. The program will be held in San Francisco on May 11 and in New York on May 17. This half-day seminar is designed for in-house counsel and licensing professionals responsible for strategically managing their patent portfolios and other intellectual property through licensing. The program will focus on several topics including, the impact of European law on licenses and other technology related agreements, the impact of case law on interpreting the license grant, the implications of the latest decisions on the patent exhaustion doctrine, structuring patent settlements from both intellectual property and corporate perspectives, and issues to be considered when intellectual property assets are transferred or licensed within a company group.
