PLI’s Tax Planning for Domestic & Foreign Partnerships, LLCs, Joint Ventures & Other Strategic Alliances 2015
The Practising Law Institute will hold a three-day seminar in Chicago on April 28 - 30, 2015, New York on May 12 - 14, 2015, and San Francisco on June 9 - 11, 2015. The seminar will show the partnership tax rules from the beginning of the partnership, its operating life and on through its wind down. Emphasis will be placed on legislative, regulatory and judicial developments in Subchapter K as well as important partnership transactions, controversies and trends.
Several Kirkland partners have been invited to speak at the event. Speaking on the topic of “Formation of Partnerships, Including Joint Ventures of Operating Businesses” at the Chicago seminar will be partners Gregory Gallagher and Donald Rocap. The same topic will be discussed by Rachel Cantor and Donald Rocap in New York and by Keith Villmow in San Francisco. Additionally, Dean Shulman will speak on the topic of “Adjustments to the Basis of Partnership Assets (Sections 734, 743 and 754)” at the San Francisco seminar.
