Overview

Georgi Ambarzumjan is a corporate associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP and a member of Kirkland’s Liquidity Solutions Team.

Georgi advises sponsors and investors on private equity secondary and liquidity transactions involving private investment funds, including continuation vehicles, special managed vehicles, strip sales, and LP portfolio trades and transfers. He works on both GP- and LP-led processes across Europe and the U.S. and also has experience in domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity transactions and general corporate matters, supporting clients on complex deals involving both primary and secondary elements.

Prior to joining Kirkland, he trained at the Frankfurt and New York offices of a U.S. law firm and worked as legal counsel at neobank N26, advising on a banking license application and financing rounds. Upon qualification in Germany, Georgi gained experience at two U.S. law firms in Germany, focusing on M&A and financial regulation, advising banks, private equity sponsors and financial technology providers.

Georgi was recognized by Best Lawyers and Handelsblatt as “Ones to Watch” in Germany for 2024, 2025 and 2026.
