Overview

Brittany Baker is an associate in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Brittany was a lawyer at a leading Australian firm where she practiced antitrust and competition.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Brittany was involved in the following matters:

  • ACCC pre-assessment for a software provider in relation to its US$28 billion acquisition
  • ACCC clearance for a fuel retailer in relation to its AUD$1.15 billion acquisition by another fuel retailer
  • Antitrust, consumer and regulatory advice to Australian and global clients, including in the pharmaceutical, telecommunications, technology, consumer and resources sectors
  • Assisted clients in confidential investigations by regulators, including the ACCC, ASIC, ACMA and VGCCC

Prior to joining Kirkland, Brittany was involved in the following pro bono matters:

  • Helped obtain humanitarian visas for multiple refugees fleeing persecution 
  • Created template agreements for Thrive Refugee Enterprises, a not-for-profit organization providing refugees with small business education, planning support and start-up loans
  • Prepared legal factsheets for a community legal center
