Overview

Yvonne Beeler is an intellectual property litigation partner with notable success representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex, high stakes matters. Yvonne was part of a trial team that secured a $765 million jury verdict on behalf of Motorola Solutions in a trade secret and copyright infringement case against an overseas competitor, Hytera. She has continued to represent Motorola in several post-trial contempt proceedings, securing over $180 million for Motorola. Yvonne has successfully defended complex multipatent and copyright cases filed by aggressive assertion entities in key venues, such as the Eastern District of Texas and District of Delaware. Yvonne has also litigated constitutional rights, habitability, discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims.

Yvonne’s work has covered a wide range of complex technologies, including semiconductor fabrication techniques & microprocessor technology, digital two-way communications and standards, laser printing, touchscreen technology, pharmaceuticals and automotive safety technology. Several of Yvonne’s cases involve overseas corporations based in Asia and Europe. She also has experience in International Trade Commission (ITC) Section 337 proceedings and Hatch-Waxman (ANDA) litigation.

In law school, Yvonne was an extern for the Patent Pilot Program in the Central District of California. Under the program, district judges volunteer and are designated by the Chief Judge of the district to receive patent cases.

Before law school, Yvonne served as a Captain in the United States Army and received the Bronze Star Medal and Combat Action Badge for her combat service in Afghanistan.
