Overview

Lana Cohen is a litigation partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. She defends clients in high-stakes mass tort and product liability disputes involving sensitive factual records and significant reputational risk. Lana is relied upon for her legal issues and appellate preservation experience: trial teams look to her to manage the intersection of legal strategy and courtroom execution. She is frequently brought into matters at critical stages to frame key legal arguments, develop jury-facing themes grounded in the law and ensure issues are positioned effectively for appeal.

Beyond her legal issues work, Lana leads discovery and investigative strategy from inception, ensuring legal and public relations considerations align with the development of key trial themes. In this role, she has represented life sciences, consumer product, telecommunications and technology companies in complex commercial and product liability disputes.
